Metropolis magazine’s Paul Makovsky follows up on the MoMA’s “Century of the Child: Growing by Design, 1900-2000” by interviewing the children of the designers featured in the exhibition. To find out what is was like to be the child of a designer or architect investigating ideas of progressive play Makovsky tracked down five children who shared their thoughts, including Ben Dattner, son of Richard. Ben reflects that he and his sister, Laura, “felt a unique send of ownership and pride” in their father’s playgrounds.
