Renovations are underway at the Washington Heights Library. The 1914 Carrère & Hastings library will receive facility-wide upgrades to improve accessibility and information technology. The New York Daily News reports that “the revamp is making the library a place where the community will want to spend time.” Principal-in-Charge Joseph Coppola said the approach is to make the library more accessible, welcoming, comfortable, and technologically up-to-date.
