Associate Principal Philippe Martelly has joined the board of Citizens Housing & Planning Council (CHPC), a leading non-profit focused on housing and planning policy in New York City. Working with housing leaders across the industry, Philippe will add his voice to the critical topics that CHPC researches and advocates for including reforms to zoning and housing policy to support the creation of more housing for all New Yorkers.
“I would like to thank CHPC for this significant honor. It is a privilege to join this prestigious organization which has been deliberate in impacting New York’s housing and planning policy through advocacy and thorough research for over 80 years. Civic Architecture is my calling, and is about making a difference. At the center of everyone’s life is the place we call Home, where our days begin and end, where our children can safely grow, where we create lasting memories, a determining factor to our individual and collective wellness, and a driving force which allows communities to flourish. I’ve dedicated my career to Housing, in the ongoing pursuit of providing quality homes and spaces designed in a way which makes people feel that they matter. In an era in which a housing crisis must be addressed, I am very excited to be part of this group of dedicated people who seek to make a difference in the neighborhoods of our great City,” Philippe Martelly AIA,CHPC.
