After years of working in the plastics industry, Jiaxin Li turned to architecture for answers to her self-critique: why the insensibility regarding our impact on the environment and climate change? She recognizes humans and climate as a single organism and believes built environments influence human behavior. By configuring the condition of space, changing the materials wrapping around us will lead the occupants to less energy-intensive activities, better health, and more resiliency towards uncertainty. She has experience in prefab housing, exhibition design, wayfinding, and furniture design.
Jiaxin holds a BS in Chemistry from NYU and a M.Arch from GSAPP Columbia University.
